texas hold um?

i haven't played it in a while and i forgot how to play. any help??thanks in advance!!

OKay Texas Hold'em

There is a dealer usually passed around the table. The dealer is chosen by cards layed out on the table and whoever gets the highest card become the dealer on the first hand. THen to the left of the dealer is small blind and big blind. Small blind is half of the big blinds for that round and until the blinds are changed. BIg blind is how much you have to put in to play. So the next player who is not in the blinds will have to call big blind or raise double the big blind. WHen it goes around the table the players either have to call,raise, or fold their cards to play. THe pot (chips in the middle) is right when everyone has called the highest raise or folded. OKay so now you know that. YOu are distributed two cards by the dealer. Make sure know one sees them. If you want to play you either call or raise (raising is a good way for others to fold and better chances of you winning. But think about your hand as well). If you don't want to play fold your cards and that is just putting them in the middle and folding. Then after everyone has made their decision then the dealer will burn one card meaning put one card to the side face down. and flop three cards. Then you either call, raise or fold. calling is just matching whatever was put down before you. Raising is raising someone elses or being the first to act when you want to put chips in the pot. Then after that and the pot is right another card is burned and one card floped then call, raise, or fold. Then after pot right, another card burned and last card flopped. Call, raise or fold depending on the hand, the chances of you winning and all. Then after pot right and its declared you can flip over your cards and whoever has the best hand wins. the pot. And then the dealer passes it to the left of him and the blinds move left as well. I think this is the order of how the best hands win

Royal flush: Same suit A,K,Q,J,10
Ful House: Two pair and Three pair
Flush: Five cards same suit
Straight flush: Same suit 9,8,7,6,5
Straight: Example: 9,,8,7,6,5
Three pair: Example: Three like 8,8,8
2two pair: example:3,3 and 4,4
two pair: 8,8

    I'm no expert, but the basics that I know are as follows:

    Each player is delt two cards. People place starting bets, if you are playing with bets.
    Then three cards are 'flopped' over in the middle. People use the two cards they have, plus the three in the middle as a "Poker Hand". They bet again, call/raise/fold, and another card is 'flopped'. Repeat call/raise/fold. A fifth and final card is shown. People call/raise/fold.

    The person with the best Poker Hand still in wins.

    Repeat process until the money runs out/you're done.

    You play texas holdem like this. You get dealt 2 blind cards. Those you get to see and only you. There are 5 community cards that are dealt face up to every one on the table. The Flop, (1st 3 cards), The Turn, (4th Card), and the River (5th card). Object is to make the best poker hand utilizing your cards plus the community cards with a max of 5 cards. You get to bet after the flop, turn and river. If you don't have anything after the flop, I would recommend you fold. Good Luck See you at the tables!

    I would recommend eBooks and guides. Also playing FREE online poker for a while until you get the hang of it again. It's like riding a bike ! You may get rusty after a long time not riding, but you never completely forget how.
